The difference is stark. Industrial designers are made to think in series. Machine made, precise, efficent and changing the world. Yet my path lead me to became a product designer focused on decorativism. Nothing is more decorative then crystal glass chandeliers.
The experience change my outlook on design. Ten Principles of Good Design by Dieter Rams are still valid, yet I had to give it some ammendments. Not to see world only through a minimalistic approach. World around us is not minimalistic, therefore the objects that surrounds us should neither. Balance is needed. Otherwise I have a feeling that we will miss something important.

As the Lead Designer at Preciosa Lighting, a renowned Bohemian glass crystal chandelier manufacturer, I specialize in VIP bespoke luxury projects within the hospitality sector, private residences, cruise ships, and yachts. My journey with Preciosa Lighting began 8 years ago, providing me the opportunity to work at our international offices in Dubai and London. During my tenure as a Senior Product Designer at our London office, I honed my skills and experiences that helped me advance to my current position.
In my role as Lead Designer, I work within the Creative Directors team on the development of the Preciosa Signature Designs line and bespoke lighting installations, collaborating with world-class architecture studios and developers globally. My work involves creating unique lighting solutions that blend aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, transforming spaces and enhancing emotional experiences.
In addition to my design responsibilities, I lead the Preciosa Lighting Design Team, focusing on continuously honing our skills, design, art, and craft. My goal is to streamline our workflow and make our processes seamless amidst the complexity of bespoke lighting manufacturing.
My approach to design balances creativity with technical precision. I work with various materials, shapes, and functions to craft lighting pieces that go beyond the ordinary. This perspective allows me to create environments that redefine illumination and push the boundaries of what lighting can achieve.
